Marshall Bruce Mathers III, born October 17, 1972, better known as Eminem (from his initials M'n'M), has many distinctions to his credit: first rap song to win an Academy Award for his song 'Lose Yourself' from the film 8 Mile in 2003; the only white person to be on the cover of The Source' and XXL magazines; the only guest artist on Jay-Zs album, the Blueprint - the list is long. In 1998, Eminem released The Slim Shady EP which went on to hit No. 2 on the Billboard charts within weeks.
